Dear Parishioners of Holy Trinity, I am in awe from the tremendous generosity that you all displayed this week. In only a few short days we were able to exceed the minimum I was asked to bring back to the seminary for the midnight run. I am so thankful for you and all your support. Because of all that was collected so many of the homeless in Manhattan will be able to keep warm this winter. I saw the Holy Spirit clearly at work in all of you. Thank you for your tremendous faith and good works. Please continue to pray for the homeless as well. Clothes will only do so much. They need Christ in their lives just as you all clearly displayed this week. Pray for conversions, pray for peace, and please pray for me and all other seminarians as we continue to discern the priesthood. God Bless! Raymond Bartolotti
_______________________________________________________________________________ STATEMENT BY THE MOST REV. GERARDO COLACICCO, D.D., JCL. EPISCOPAL VICAR OF DUTCHESS, SULLIVAN, ULSTER, AND ORANGE COUNTIES ON THE RIGHTS OF COMMUNICANTS TO CHOOSE TO RECEIVE COMMUNION ON THE TONGUE OR IN THE HAND. After addressing the concern of reception of Holy Communion during the Corona virus pandemic, Bishop Gerardo Colacicco, Episcopal Vicar of Dutchess, Sullivan, Ulster, and Orange Counties, Archdiocese of New York, the Bishop has restated that the Holy See has specifically informed that Communicants who wish to receive on the tongue cannot be denied reception of Holy Communion. If the priest, deacon, or extraordinary minister is aware that physical contact has taken place with that communicant, they are to set the ciborium on the altar, proceed to sanitize their fingers/hands, then continue to distribute Holy Communion to the faithful. Given these precautions, if someone is still uncomfortable with this safe procedure, then perhaps they could be more comfortable in offering a spiritual communion in place of receiving, or to arrive early enough prior to Mass so as to sit close to the front so that they would be among the first to receive and so not have to be worried that contact was made. The Bishop also asks that in charity, parishioners pray for their priests who are making every effort to assure that the Faithful can have safe access and Holy Mass throughout this difficult time.

It has long been a Catholic understanding that when circumstances prevent one from receiving Holy Communion, it is possible to make an Act of Spiritual Communion, which is a source of grace. Spiritual Communion is an ardent desire to receive Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament and lovingly embrace him at a time or in circumstances when one cannot receive Him in sacramental Communion. The most common reason for making an Act of Spiritual Communion is when a person cannot attend Mass. Acts of Spiritual Communion increase our desire to receive sacramental Communion and help us avoid the sins that would make us unable to receive Holy Communion worthily. Spiritual Communion Prayer My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, Come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there And unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Our parish was founded in the year 1921 and will be celebrating a Centennial Anniversary in the year 2021. Centennial Committee parish members; Deacon Shaun Boyce, Mike Bozyczko, Kimberly Bubb, Dora Carbone, Loretta Freire, Salena Gray, Warren Grunbok, Andrew Heaton, Betty Lane, John Lentz, Josephine Libroso, Judianne Middlebrook, Tim Middlebrook, Gary Privratsky and Eoin Wrafter, are currently making preparations for this historic milestone event. We are asking you for your support to be a part of the collectible Centennial Program booklet, by sharing copies of your memorable snapshots of special events that you and your families have attended here at Holy Trinity Church. Since our parish's inception on June 15th, 1921, many weddings, baptisms, First Holy Communions, Confirmations, school graduations, CYO sporting events, concerts, spring festivals, pancake suppers, parish picnics and appreciation dinners have set off a good number of flashbulbs. We are only asking that your snapshots be either brought to the Church Rectory during office hours, where Diana will scan them, or you can email your scanned .jpg (j‐peg) or .pdf formatted images to htpok@hvc.rr.com. Along with each snapshot or image submitted, please include a caption describing the event and year. Names are optional. All images with captions will be entered into the Centennial Program in chronological order. Our Centennial Committee member, Choir member and Chef extraordinaire, Loretta Freire, is collecting your favorite meal and dessert recipes for the Holy Trinity Parishioner's Commemorative Cookbook. You can email your recipes to Loretta (lorettafreire@yahoo.com). The Centennial Committee is also planning the Centennial “Kickoff” Dinner, to be held on September 20, 2020. This event will be a memorable fun‐filled evening of dancing to a live band. Tickets will have to be purchased for this event. Check the weekly bulletin for more event dates leading up to the Culmination Mass at which His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, will be in attendance here at Holy Trinity Church on Sunday, June 13th, 2021. Thank you.
